Hi all, so I have had this weird thing on my leg for quite some time now. Before this it never gave me any trouble and it wasn't really a bump. I could sometimes squeeze a tiiinnyy bit if white stuff out. Not too big of a deal. But a few days ago I tried to squeeze it(which I know I shouldn't) and nothing happened only like a build up so it got all red and sore with a red circle around it. At first I didn't do anything but then the circle got bigger and it was almost hard underneath. I looked this up and it seemed to be a sebaceous cyst or a boil. Gross I know but all the websites said in the when to go to your doctor area that if you were on immune suppressants, which I am on remicade, that you should. Is this sort of thing a side effect of anything or what? Not sure if it's apart of crohns but figured I would ask

It might be a side effect. I would go and get it checked out as soon as you can. The growing red circle sounds like infection. Does it feel hot to the touch? Sepsis is a danger for the immunosuppressed so I wouldn't take any chances.

Hi Pipergirl. I would also suggest you have it examined. I'm also chasing down possible relation between my flares and some reoccurring cysts, so I'm not real sure that I can be of very authoritative advice. I always try to err on the side of caution with these things. The red ring does sound curious?

I agree - with the red ring that appears as new, I definitely would give my doctor a ring or make a visit - sure sign of an infection brewing.

Pyoderma

Some people with crohn's get pyoderma ....a skin condition that is most often on legs or could be around stoma, like mine. It is treatable but I would go see about it ASAP as it can get out of hand quickly.
