Hi all,
I started to write this last night but then I fell asleep. The day after Caitlyn's colonoscopy she was having terrible stomach pain and a lot of blood comming out. I spoke with the doctor and she sent us for a stat X-ray she was worried about a perforation of the intestine from the procedure. Thank goodness the X-ray was negative. :) The pain was better yesterday except it came back after eating every time. The other strange thing was she said whenever she stood on her left leg the pain came back. I spoke with the doctor again she said since it is improving to just watch it until this morning and see what happens. There was no blood yesterday but she also had no stools to check. Never a dull moment in our lives!

Oh no Kim! How awful to get the all clear and then have that happen. I could only imagine Caitlyn's "I told you so'ing" at this point.

I hope it all clears FAST!

How did we ALL fall under this Law?!?!?:ymad::yrolleyes::ymad:

Kim, I hope Caitlyn's symptoms all disappear quickly! And hope you get good results from the scope very soon! Keep up posted!! :)

HMMM! Maybe there is a correlation between Murphy's and Crohn's cause he's at my house too. Somebody should look into that.
Hope she is feeling better soon

Yes, Murphy's at my house too. Maybe we could do something to make him disappear!
Sorry to hear about the complications, I really hope she is feeling better now!

Finally feeling better today! I have been so stressed out and tired I slept half the day today! I am feeling a lot better now thank goodness. This was a super stressful week. Thank G-d for the weekend!

I hope things have settled for Caitlyn Kim...

Is all good now?

Hi All,
Caitlyn is doing much better!!! I on the other hand am freaking out. I have to go for a test tomorrow that I am freaking out about. I had an odd EKG a month ago as part of a physical with my new doctor and I saw the cardiologist who repeated it and it was still not normal so tomorrow I had to go for a stress ECHO. I am a nervous wreck about it. Please keep me in your prayers you all and hope that this is just one of those abnormalities that people get that don't mean anything!:(

Glad the girl's better!! You hang in there, mama. We'll be praying for a good visit for you!!

J.

Hang in there Kim. Maybe some fluke from all your worrying. I worry so much at times My chest hurts so bad. Keep us posted. Prayers are coming your way!
Happy Caitlyn is doing better.

Crohn's=murphy's law... no logic to either!

Ahhh...Kim big giant squishy hugs !!

After one of my surgeries once the surgeon scared me to death ! He had run a routine EKG and informed me that I had previously had a mild heart attack !
Considering my father died at 40 of a massive heart attack, with no warning, I was freaking out !
Turned out after a few more tests that he was wrong :confused2:
I hope that your further testing proves to be uneventful :ghug:

I'm so glad Caitlyn is better :)

You take care of you now OK !

xoxoxoxox

Oh Kim! I will be praying that it is a big fat nothing and that all they find is that big, warm, wonderful heart of yours!

I hope its nothing...

I know how scary it is ...... i went through it with my daughter when she was getting chest pain... she had 6 ECG's that kept coming back abnormal....after further testing we were told it was ok.

It might be nothing so try not to worry...

Glad Caitlyn's better! Try not to worry about your test!! Will be thinking of you you and praying all goes well! :ghug: :ghug:

Just wanted to send loads of good luck for your test. I hope that the strange EKG was just a blip, maybe brought on by stress :thumleft:. I'm glad Caitlyn is feeling better.

I'm writing to this because my wife actually had a perforation after a colonoscopy that required surgery and then had a micro perforation just last month that developed into sepsis.

Just and FYI. A x-ray is not the correct tool for diagnosing a perforation. If it is a bad perforation you could see an air pocket on an X-ray but you may miss smaller perforations that can still cause sepsis. Being there done that got the picture. A cat scan is the way to go.

Thanks jptpa for the information we will continue to keep an eye on her. Thank goodness she is feeling good.
About myself. I had the test done but now have to wait one to two days for the results! I am trying to remain calm but am soooo nervous about the results.
