Post steroid rash

hey guys, Im on day 3 of being prednisone free and hooray, crohns symptoms are stable, having some weird symptoms as my body adjusts to no pred though- shaky moods butmostly Im concerned about this hot itchy rash on my torso, on my ribs going up to armpits. just appeared yesterday. really itchy. light red, small red dots all over. has this happened to anyone? will it go away? is this a concern enough to go to my doc? (I avoid going unless its serious crohnie stuff)

I would at least call your doctor's office and tell them of this rash to make sure it is nothing serious. HOWEVER, if the rash gets worse or lasts another day or two and you have not heard from your doctor, I would consider going to the ER. While I personally have not heard of this happening, I wouldn't rule it out as a withdrawal symptom.

I personally always break out into a yeast infection after I finish a round of prednisone. I also get mood-swings post pred. It's one helluvah drug!

Bunny,
Is it tingly or " prickly" at all? Does it have a sore feeling associated with it, not just itchy? It is really important to give your doc a call, as if your immune system could be somewhat compromised from steroids, you could be developing an underlying infection/outbreak. Best of luck!
