Hello All,

I had a Right Hemicolectomy about 6 months back where most of my ascending colon and about 10 inches of my terminal ileum were removed. My life is back to normal and I have 1 to 2 bowel movements every day. I am not taking any Crohn's medication. I am still taking iron capsules (Hemax) as my Hemoglobin is still around 9. Since the past several weeks I am having tremendous pain on the lower left back and side in the morning when I wake up. It's so bad that even slightly lifting my left leg hurts. It usually goes away in an hour or so and I feel completely normal the rest of the day. My GI doctor is recommending a CT scan but I want to avoid another scan.

Please share if you have gone through a similar experience. Thanks.

I haven't experienced anything like this but I would be concerned if I did. Does the GI think that it is related to your Crohn's or could it be some maladjustment of your body that is a side effect of all that you have been through? Do you know of a good osteopath or chiropractor who could see if they could locate the source of the problem?
