Prednisone adult acne

Hey guys, been on pred since October last year, starting to taper, been a long ride, I'm tapering down waiting for the Aza to build up in my system but iv recently been getting horrible acne from the pred (atleast I'm assuming it's from pred as iv heard its a side effect). Just wondering how long it takes to go away once one stops? I've had clear skin for years and now this is starting to bug me...

Mine cleared up about a week after I stopped taking it.

I hear ya! OMG when I was on Prednisone I was like what the hell is this? I actually went to a dermatologist and he gave me special medication for "prednisone acne." It was just a cream to help clear it up. I wasn't so lucky because mine would not go away! Everyone's different, so just see what happens after a week or two and if not, just go to the dermatologist and it will all be ok!

Now if only I could get rid of the strech marks it gave me! That would be awesome. :ywow:

I had terrible acne on pred, and kind of dry flaky skin at the same time. Bad combination - it was really painful. It cleared up fairly quickly once I tapered off, but to help it on its way I kept my skin well hydrated and used really gentle products on it. Not sure if you get Lush where you are (I'm in the UK) but I used some of their products which worked well and helped to really sooth it (which took the redness away so it looked better even while I still had a few spots remaining). I hope it clears quickly for you.
