Prednisone and Getting Infections

One of the side-effects is apparently an increased risk of infection.
Has anyone got an infection while on Prednisone? In other words, how risky is this risk?

I never had anything unusual while on prednisone - remember that YOU are the best protection against illness or infection - make sure you use sanitizer and don't touch your hands to your face (easiest way to spread germs).....

My fistula often becomes infected while I'm on Prednisone, requiring a course of antibiotics. Not every time, but maybe one out of three times.
