Primal Defense anyone?

I've noticed that probiotics help me incredibly and as soon as I stop taking them I start to have more flares. Anyhow, I just got over all my symptoms; nausea, swollen abdomen, swollen throat, etc. I'm probably not out of the woods yet, nor will I ever be completely but I don't understand how all of my symptoms could have just disappeared in one day. Well, maybe the inflammation has gone down drastically due to my medications. The only thing is I've been on this dose before for awhile and it has never worked this well. Maybe it is a combination of diet, medications, and probiotics. Who knows, but I was just wondering if anyone else has taken Primal Defense? I started taking it a couple days ago. I have taken a similar formulation in the past but not as strong. I'm still skeptical about how safe it is long term but I figured it was worth a try.

I always say I would chew on tree bark if it seems to help! I say stick with it if there are no side effects! Who cares if it's a combo of meds and supplements, or just the meds, or just the supplements - if something is working, don't change it!

I tried the and they upset my gut. But if they work for you, I would certainly keep taking them!

I guess it is supposed to be hard on the gut at first especially if you've never taken anything like it. They told me it flushes all of the toxins out of your system. Whatever that means. lol. I've taken something similar before. I suppose that is why it hasn't bothered me. Who knows.

Everyone has their opinions. I'm not one to judge either side completely due to the lack of research. I've already read that article before and I understand he shouldn't be making claims without any scientific evidence. That is reasonable. However, my decision to take the probiotics is based off of the results I get from taking them. I only take them once every two days and I might replace them with the other probiotics I was taking. Its still a shot the dark and I have my concerns regarding the long term use of these probiotics but for now, I've noticed a major difference. I figure if it is helping my reduce symptoms then why not? I like to think its a better alternative... for now anyways.

I took the same probiotic, but never noticed any effect. Some people seem to respond well to probiotics and others do not get any noticeable effect from them.

In fairness, I think it may take a long time to actually impact intestinal flora by adding probiotics. The exception might be VSL 3 which has so many active cultures, it could work faster in theory.

If it is working, I can't think of any reason not to use them. The object is to get better as far as I am concerned.

Yeah. I believe it probably does take time to replenish the normal microbiota (if that is what is happening. lol). Well, its been helpful so far. I think I might try the VSL 3 sometime.

Thanks again for your input.

I've taken it and it helped me in 3 weeks. I did have a upset stomach but that might have been because I stopped taken Pentasa. I'm waiting for my next shipment of primal, they sell it online for half the price now.

But it wont cure it so it will come back if you go off it.
