Ds has had recurring issues with rectal and sigmoid inflammation
So my question is
Does proctitis show up in blood markers or fecal cal since its at the very end ???

Any other tests to determine other than scope ???

I have just replied on your other thread you have running. I think that blood work will only show inflammation and not actually where it is. They have only found proctitis with Josh when he has had scopes done. I think it is probably the same with fecal cal proctectin too.

Josh's inflammation showed in his blood work, but not sure whether that was the proctitis or because of issues in his small bowel [ also where he has crohns ].
Josh's last cal protectin was 1200.

I think that if you are really worried I would push to get him checked out.

We haven’t dealt with disease that low down before but I do see where you are coming from.

I personally don’t see why sensitivity would be any different there to elsewhere if either of those two are a reliable marker for you.

Even if his FC isn't elevated, it's going in the wrong direction. That's worth watching at least. Didn't he have a higher FC once? Like 300 or something?
