My story is very long, and I am quite I'll at this time.
In a nutshell. Had around 50, surgical procedures.
Been on and off steroids for 30yrs. Also almost every medication for Crohn's.
At this point, I have been told by my GI,to find a Crohn's specialist.
Which will mean 100mile drive to either Chicago or University of Madison.
I was told to try Remicade but that costs $3500. I am on Medicare/Disability
coverage, which means, they won't approve it.
I have tried several other avenues to try to get assistance, to no avail.
Also have advanced bone loss and osteoporosis. So I also need Boniva
iV. Which was attempted last wk. This one is covered because it's administered
at a clinic. I was so dehydrated no one could get IV started, next to ER
13 needles later, just to hydrate me, never got the Boniva in. 3 more
needles for blood work. Done it all, an essex, fistula X 4yrs.
If I can't improve by Friday I will have to get my, lost count, central line.
