Question regarding surgery

I'm suppose to have my parathyroid taken out because I have hyperparathyroidism, and I just found out I have c-diff again ( Along with Crohns). My question is, if they put me on Vanco will I still be able to go through surgery? My surgeon said i would be able to take my medications up until the day of surgery and then resume them after surgery, but that was before c-diff came back and I have to go on Vanco.
