So I just got out of the er last night for severe upper abdominal pains. They did full blood work, urine test, and a ct scan of my upper abdomen. The pain has greatly reduced since last night still a bit sore but no cramps. After reviewing my test from the er my dr wanted me to do another test it's some find of upper gi thing were I gotta drink something? What kind of test is this? And now freaking out cause what did he see that makes him eat to do another test? Very nervous

Is it a small bowel follow through(SBFT)? Since the ER is emergency care the ER doc may have thought even though the CT came out normal it would be a good idea to have your GI follow up with another test to ensure there was no narrowing or issues that could cause further problems for you. My son has had one after a MRI, just to back up what the MRI said.
The er doc said it was inflamation from my Crohn's that he didn't see any obstructions I'm just a nervous person I hate not knowing what to expect next and this summer has been one thing after another but hopefully this well gets to the bottom of my weird symptoms finally!!! Crossing my fingers and praying for good results cause I do not wanna have to have any kind of surgery I can't miss anymore work!! Also I wonder of this test well show problems with my gallbladder acid reflux seems to be my newest symptom.
I've just had some weird symptoms lately chest pains with acid reflux symptoms(went away after taking prilosec), and at times severe upper abdominal pain? They told me it was Crohn's related at the er after the ct scan it was high up inflamation. But it's just worrying me y my doc eats another test done like did he find something that his worried about? U all thank I'm worrying to much?
