Hey there,
I'm recently diagnosed with severely active Crohn's, just released from the hospital earlier this week after my full Imuran dosage cause me to be one of the fortunate few that developed acute pancreatitis.
While in hospital my initial stool sample tested positive for c-diff (which was strange because I really hadn't experienced any sort of symptoms whatsoever). I was given a 12 day prescription for Flagyl and once my pancreatitis symptoms greatly lessened and ultrasounds were completed I was discharged.
I've since been taking the flagyl, still don't have much in the way of symptoms, I've literally only had one or two bouts of watery D since being give antibiotics and minimal dull cramping in my typical Crohn's area.
Just reaching out for advice, I know everybody heals and recovers at different rates, I'm wondering what a general recovery time is. If there's anything diet-wise that can help recovery, any symptoms that warrant a visit to the ER etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you kindly!
Keenan
