Rectal Bleed

Firstly I should say I'm not feeling unwell, but I have woken this morning and appear to have had a rectal bleed in the night, and still spotting a little this morning. I have a slight temp (37.9c), and Ozzie's still running much like water. Have left messages with my SC and IBD nurses, so I'm sure they will be back to me sometime today.
Has this happened to anyone else? I'm now 6 weeks post surgery, so thought this would have settled?!?!

I had some rectal bleeding after surgery...but it wasn't accompanied by a fever. Oh, and if no one's told you, you'll have mucous come out of your butt...that was a surprise to me (I just figured that if the plumbing wasn't hooked up, there wouldn't be anything coming out of there anymore)!!

Hopefully someone gets back to you soon and that it's nothing serious...

My IBD nurse rang earlier, and decided to scope me tomorrow as a precautionary measure. I really do feel well so that must be a good sign. For all of a few seconds this morning I forgot about Ozzie when I saw the blood on the sheets and thought it was the UC!!

Cindy, my gastro did mention the mucous, so I was prepared for that, blood though. Just freaky!! Hope you're having a great holiday.

Hi all- Well its just a case of 'mild ' rectal inflammation. Back on the pred and Asacol supps and hope to be knocking this on it's head.
Still not feeling poorly, so in all it's good news.

Hows the Welshy today? Glad you arent feeling too poorly. But for you that may mean you dont feel like you were completely run down by a lorry. Only half. Hope you got the bastards registration.
