Sometimes when I sit down I have this quick sharp stabbing pain in my anus. Anyone know what can it be?

It can be a number of things and it would be important for a GI to give you a rectal exam. It could be general IBD inflammation in that area but can also be an abscess, fissure or fistula in that area.

I'm a long time hemorrhoid sufferer and I get the occasional stabbing pain. Could be a variety of reasons, though. :(
