Well, I saw the colorectal surgeon, and he diagnosed me with fissures and rectal prolapse. He hasn't ruled out Crohn's causing the diahorrea, but he wants to deal with the prolapse first. Then for good measure, a couple days ago my uterus prolapsed as well. I feel like i'm falling apart..literally! Has anyone else experienced this, and it it related to Crohn's at all?
Thanks. :)

Helllo,
I have had rectal prolapse twice and had two surgeries already because of it. I also had fissures too.
I would be more than glad to help you with any questions you may have. I am so sorry you have to undergo so much trouble!I wish you the best and hope they can help you too!*hugs*
The first time I had prolapse was because I had a bad flare and was consistently using the bathroom; causing pressure on my intestine.
The second time, my prolapse re-occured was because I had serious diarrhea for six months, non-stop using the bathroom, basically forcing my intestine to come out again even though I was cautious not to exert pressure on it.
Through the surgery they placed a prosthetic mesh/net into my body to hold up the intestine from popping out of place. The second surgery required the doctor to untangle my intestine from the mesh because the rectum collapsed and tangled around the net from the constant diarrhea, then re-sewn it.
I recommend taking a look at information on the surgery, its called a "rectopexy," at least what they did with me. The mayo clinic has a good useful website or webmd is also helpful. The surgery can be done laparoscopically or with a larger cut, my first one was done with laparoscope the second was not. It depends on how the surgeon sees fit.
However my intestine stretched out to be 57cm longer than an average person's and may need to be cut because my prolapse is starting to show again, so I might be expecting a third surgery.
Make sure not to put force on your body when you are trying to have stool, it can cause the rectum to come out.
Otherwise the diarrhea is not because of the prolapse, but from the Crohn's, the prolapse only can cause heavy bleeding, at least for me it did. Unfortunately I do not know anything about a uterus prolapse, sorry. I wish I could help on that matter, but cannot. :(
Best of wishes to you!<3

kisses and hugs, Aya
