After my 1st iRemi nfusion I developed pain in my hips and lower back, then after the 2nd infusion it has spread up my back, to fingers and toes. The doctor wont prescribe pain meds. I dont think I've built up antibodies b/c my Crohns pain is much better. I actually have bruises that have formed on my lower back and the back bones ("wing" bones??) I need to sleep for more than 2 hours at a time before I go crazy. Idk what to do, any advice?

Your GI won't prescribe pain meds? Maybe try your primary doctor. Many other people have had similar problems.
Does he know about the bruising? Make sure you have that checked out even if its only at an urgent care place. That is a strange place to have bruising especially if its not the result of trauma. I hope you feel better:)

I had TERRIBLE joint pain in my elbows, knees, toes and just the bottoms of my feet overall...so bad I had to stop the Remi...never had the bruising though - you need to have that checked out ...

I wish my PCP would give me pain meds, only Fioricet for the migraines I used to get, doesnt really help with any other pain. I am on all the meds in my signature, the doc is taking me off Entocort tho, I'm down to two times a day for two or three more weeks then going off, that must have been what was causing the migraines so thank goodness. CVS has heat pads for arthritis and its helping right now. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone with the severe joint pain. What did you do when you stopped Remi? Did you try something else or were you in remission?

Ok I have an unrelated question - is it ok for your boyfriend, his brother and selfish bitch of a girlfriend to go to philly for the weekend and leave me with their dogs to take care of (including a yippy annoying little thing that doesnt let me sleep??!!!) I'm trying not to freak out b/c I know that pain makes me moody but wtf!

Thanks for listening to me vent Shantel, my apologies, its hard to be as reserved as I usually am with this amount of pain. I would've said no but they dropped off the yipper dog while i was napping yesterday. Everytime I moved / changed positions b/c of the joint pain, she started yipping. Its amazing what they have on paid programming all night lol.

Anyway, they decided to come back today, thank goodness so I'm off the hook now, and am looking forward to a full night sleep :) These heat pads that wrap around your body and work for 8 hours are AWESOME.
