:ywow:
Hi Everyone,
I have been on remicade for most of this year, just got through dose #5 3 weeks ago.
I have the flu. It is horrible. I went to the hospital yesterday and was treated for dehydration (you should see the number the nurse did on my arm with the IV! thank god my remicade nurses don't bruise me like this!). The good news is there is no obstruction (always get the xray's just in case), and my blood work is excellent. Just got the flu.
Anyway, for those on remicade... have you gotten the flu? What is your experience. I am guessing I just have to wait it out.
And by the way... if you live in Toronto (ontario) do not go to Humber River emergency. Can you believe they didn't even give me a bed to lay down on? I had to have the IV treatment sitting in a waiting room. It was tolerable as I was leaning on my husband... but when they told him rudely to get up so another patient could sit down I couldn't even rest my head! absolute garbage!
