Remicade causing depression and mood swings???

I have been on Remicade for about 3 months now and this past month its seems to have been wearing off and on top of that I have been feeling really depressed lately and having crazy mood swings.

Anyone else having these problems????

I was on Remicade for 7 years and never had that type of problem with it. Would you happen to be on Predisone? I had those symptoms on Predisone.

No I have been off Prednisone ever since I started the Remicade. :/

Well that is a new one on me, but some of the stuff I've heard people say happened to them on Remicade I sure can believe it could cause those symptoms. It effects everyone differently. You my want to discuss this with your doctor.

Hi Amanda MB,

My husband was diagnosed with Colitis in 2007 before I met him. In 2008 after the 4th infusion he was a completely different person, showing symptoms of depression, anger, withdrawl. He is a VERY happy person. Now, in 2016 after the 4th infusion, same thing. After 9 years of being active, happy, loving, caring, having hobbies and full of life he is depressed, anxious, withdrawn and angry. After some time did your symptoms of depression subside? What course of action did you take? Please advise!
