Hi all
I've been on remicade since April 2015, having infusions every 8 weeks
seems to be helping my crohns, BUT starting getting pounding headaches lasting all day and for weeks at a time. Taking tramodol but it don't really help
omg!! I need some relief from these booming headaches. I do have some good days without headache but then the next day it's so bad!!
I'm wondering if anyone else suffers from these pounding headaches!!!
Thanks gibson girl

i'm not. but headaches can be caused by many, many things. have you had your iron levels checked?

Not sure about my iron
I'll mention this to my doc
Yesterday was a bad day for headaches! But today no headache hmmm!!
Thinking maybe I should stop remicade treatments!!
Take care
Thanks🌸

Have you seen a neurologist ?
Severe and sudden headaches could be from a host of things that have nothing to do with remicade at all
A Neuro typically will order a brain MRI to rule out a ton and advise how to best treat the headaches

Have had a MRI done and everything good there,
My doc has mentioned seeing a neurologist but it's a year or more wait list.
I'm thinking of trying acupuncture hmmm!!
I'll go back to doc this week and see what other meds I could try for these pounding headaches
Thanks 💐

I had frequent headaches and narrowed it down to very low iron and ferritin levels. Also watch out for any supplements you may be taking. The fish oil i had been taking gives me a headache now so i quit that!

Iron and hemoglobin could be a culprit here. Anemia does often present with headaches. Do you feel easily fatigued, low energy, difficulty sleeping? Those are all other symptoms that could show up with anemia.

I started to get a lot of headaches on and off, so I decided to go for an eye test
Turned out I needed reading glasses.

Crohns affects your eyes a lot too. The specialist pointed out that we are really prone to eye infections and we should have eye drops to put a protective layer in our eyes.

Learn something new every day with this disease

Might be a thought

Wish you all the best
Steph
