So i havent been here in a while as I have been feeling pretty good and was making a big effort to keep fit and eat well .
So a few days ago I noticed some blood in my pooh and Ive been feeling a bit dizzy. No D at all but when my bowels move it goes on for age s ,semi solid but quite painfull in the lower abdomen during and afterwards.
Cycling home from work yesterday I started to fell really sick and felt really crap when i got home.
Woke up this morning and my mouth is full of very small ulcers and body feels hammered. Bowels have been straining all morning. Horrible
So I guess im starting a flare again. I got the Asacol out and started it right away along with some pain killers as my right side is pretty sore.
Gonna make an appointment with my Doctor ( for all the use that will be) to see what he says.
I actually though this was almost gone, how disappointing.

I am so sorry that you started feeling ill again. Please be careful which pain killers you take as some are bad for the gut. I hope you get some stronger meds on board to kill the flare. You might want to ask your doctor about your medications. There has been some research done that shows that the "top down" approach with medications shows a longer remission rate, than the "bottom up". Meaning that if you hit the disease hard right from the beginning with things like Remicade , instead of starting on the less potent meds and working your way up, you stand a better chance of staying in remission.

I hope you get this under control and feel better soon.

Sorry to hear its all starting again Peter. Im the same too and its so depressing to think about going through all the pain,tiredness, bathroom trips etc. Even my eyes have started this time and i've never had problems with them before!
I too will be phoning my specialist tomorrow after my vit B12 injections for the hope of some energy! Lets just hope its a small blip eh? Look after yourself x
Oh and i call mine an alien too- just waiting to tear through your stomach! Niiiice lol
