I have been feeling almost normal lately and recently went on holiday where I kind of let my hair down and ate (and drank) probably too much. But I felt really great for it.

This week feeling a bit guilty and noticing I am now able to put weight on again I got in some low fat snacks for work, including caramel flavour rice cakes. I love these, but I have noticed that I feel a bit bloated and uncomfortable ( with a bit of left side pain) could it be the rice cakes or am I just suffering for last weeks excesses?

I have just noticed that they are made with whole grain rice (although only contain 0.2g of fibre per cake ) - could this be the problem, I do generally try to stick to a low fibre diet.
Anyone else had trouble with rice cakes, I used to eat a lot of the plain ones when I was very poorly.

Hmmm you try to be good:award2:

And see what happens

It could be the sugar, multodextrin, soy, and 'natural ' flavours, or it could be your past catching up with you :)

Thanks guys , as you can see in my diary here -

I think I may have been heading for a flare - possibly due to getting a bit blaze in my eating habits as I felt well.
I am very hopeful that the juice fast will sort me out, then praps I can try the cakes again when I am well , with different results.

I especially like the caramel ones as you can break them up and pretend it is toffee popcorn :)

Ive never tried the caramel ones but do eat the plain ones with peanut butter or a slice of cheese and I dont seem to have a problem with them. ive looked for non-wholegrain crackers but never seem them unfortunately
