FYI another possible, this is new info.

I just had a crown put in,when they do this they drill around the gumline of the tooth to make it smaller and fit the crown. This cause lots of blood in the mouth, which of course is mixed with what ever bacteria are there.

I seems that swallowing these bacteria are not the problem, but they get into your blood stream, normally.

I take care of my teeth and gums really well.

I can't say the UC got worse but my immune system went nuts, started to attack throat and joints.

It may sound stupid but these bacteria can get into your blood from just tooth brushing,I wonder how many

people brushed their teeth well prior to about 1920,for that matter in other countries who were low in IBD and such as Japan where they have become westernized and IBD is increasing.

This might be a reason that IBD is chronic, idiopathic, they cant find any pathogens in the colon that they believe to cause UC,perhaps they are looking in the wrong place. They might need to look at the blood.

There is also an association of UC with liver disease PSC.

They check blood for immunoglobulin responses all the time though, where they can't check is in the mesentery and in the lymphatic system.
