I was wondering how many people eat fresh vegie's or salad's for that matter.

I tried to introduce fresh veg a few time's with limited succes my GI thinks I first need more fiber like psylium husks and oat's I would love to try bran but prior experience's weren't that great to help me digest fresh produce so it will give less gas and pain I was wondering should I just try probiotics with some fiber for a week's and introduce fresh produce slowly and what is the best fresh stuff to go for first when eventually I do introduce it.

I would try a banana.they work for me and as you get better you should find your tolerance of salad and veggies will get better but if your under the weather veggie soup well cooked and blended is good

When I'm in remission, I can handle small salads if they're part of a larger meal, and iceberg lettuce seems to sit better with me than other types of lettuce. And even then I can't do salad every day, like if I have a small salad as part of a meal then I have to not have salad for the next few days at least or my body will get angry. And that's remission. Right now I'm flaring and there's no way I'd touch salad in my current condition. I don't even want to be in the same room as that much fiber.

I eat a good amount of fiber every day. I have been feeling great lately so I have been taking advantage of it. I think what helps me the most is my oatmeal every AM. I make quick oats with water and sweeten with raisins.. That's all. I also eat a small salad for lunch every day. At dinner I eat vegetables, but they only sit good it I cook them to almost mush... I found I could do most of this when I got rid of sugar and cut down on my carbs. It made a big difference in my energy level too.
Woops!

I stick to soluble fibre only. I love salad but it hates me so I just don't. Even in remission I need to be careful with salad, fruit and veges.

I can have some psyllium and I suppose other soluble fibre but nothing insoluble.

Why does you GI think you need more fibre? Has he mentioned to start with soluble fibre?

If I eat vegetables, they have to be well cooked or my body can't tolerate them.

Same here. I can't even imagine chewing raw vegetables, because already after swallowing my pain would get unbearable. When someone eats raw carrot I asks me if I would like one as well, I explain that raw carrot would make me feel like eating small stones, that's the exact feeling I have then, so really unbearable.
I don't eat any raw vegetables, any nuts, sauerkraut, kale, whole grain.
I did start eating raw but puréed fruit again, started with banana, but never by itself, only part of a meal with fat and protein as well, otherwise the fructose would bother me.

I discovered a while ago that salads have an awful effect on me. I like to have salads in the summer but these days anything like that makes me rush to the toilet with immense urgency.

I don't believe in salads :p

Raw food of any description does not sit well with me so unless its cooked, I'll pass :)

only well cooked for me.

even when cooked some are not well tolerated I go for low fodmap so rarely any onions or garlic, i eat broccoli cauliflower spinach everyday, now i see that soybeans which I'm not sure is vegetable but they cooked really well and are super soft quickly so maybe ill be eating more of those.
