I am starting to think our GI is making sure we cross off every IBD medication as have been taken.
We have been doing Hycort ( Hydrocortisone Enema), but not much success (it feels like it burns my daughter & she hates it), and have had better success with Cortifoam (Corticosteroid Enema). Our doctor had us add Salofalk (5-ASA Enema). I honestly thought the Salofalk was another steroid. Our doc wants us to "sandwich" the Cortifoam & Salofalk, Cortifoam right before bed, Salofalk right at wake up. Anyone have experience with this type of treatment? Is one better than the other? I can't quite understand what the 5-asa does over the steroid or vice versa.
