Hello to anyone reading this,

In October 2013 I stopped using infliximab after being told I was in remission, a few months after my crohn's came back. And came back hard. I was in a lot of pain.

My doc sent me away for an ultrasound to check for abscesses, they couldn't see any so I chose to start taking Humira, this was in April.

I recently had an appointment with my doc and when he was examining my stomach we noticed it was hard near my small intestine. My pain has gone away mostly. But one day I ate a lot of peanuts. and I had the worst pain of my life for the full day. This rarely happens but its happened a few times since I have had crohns. I haven't told my doc about this yet, but I will.

I went for an mri yesterday, but I threw up the liquid that I drank so it didn't happen.

Guess i'm just wondering what will happen to me. I'm not in pain, but my small intestine feels hard and a little tender. I am quite scared but I don't show it.

I know i'm rambling, Hope this made sense.

The doctor thought he felt scar tissue in my son's abdomen, but 3 months later, he couldn't find any.

Very difficult to say what the issue here is. One thing for certain, stay away from large amounts of peanuts! Seriously, nuts in large quantities if there is even the slightest chance that you have scar tissue or inflammation is a really bad idea. Aside from that, I hope everything settles down for you soon.

I was diagnosed with strictures by CT scan and my GI felt an area of hardening. However I had a sigmoidoscopy which was clear. So I was told it is probably adhesions. I would avoid nuts if I were you.

Nuts and corn are off the menu! Hopefully I will have a clearer picture in a couple of months. thanks for all your replies :)
