Second opinion....

:sign0085:So I've been in a flare-up since November and struggling still...Mostly with pain after I eat and before a B.M. :thumbdown: I've been with the same GI group since diagnoised (1992) and wonder if I should go for a second opinion on treatment somewhere else? I have pinching, cramping pain in my left upper stomach, and my chest beats after I eat, the GI doctor said had nothing to do with my CD....really? I do love them at that office but maybe I should move on to at least get a second opinion? Anyone from Boston, Ma - Mass General I was thinking, that has a good GI they use? Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are not so well and hope you can find a good GI to help you soon.
I live in Canada and so cannot help on that score but someone will soon be along that will know better.

Welcome to the forum! Have you had a look at the "Doctor's Review" section of the forum to see if any members have reviewed GIs from the Boston area? Another thing that I find helpful is to go to www.rateyourmd.com and you might find some helpful reviews of doctor's in your area.

Have you spoken to your family doctor about your symptoms? At any rate, I think your idea of getting a second opinion is a good one!

Thanks everyone....I am going to talk to my GI because they actually suggested a second opinion if I wanted to..and I did try to look on the review part of this forum but didn't see anything in Boston, hoping they can direct me to a second opinion.
It just stinks always being in pain......:thumbdown:
