Well I had my bloods done thurs , coz I'd been rough for the past few weeks an the gp said I was pale.
I got a call this morning saying my bloods were back I need to see the gp today ! So I went down by 9:30 am an hey presto got landed in hospital needing a blood transfusion .

I need 3 units of blood ( 3 bags ) as my iron level is under 7 !!
I'm ok with it coz at least I know ill feel alot better tommorow after all this blood lol

Crohns is flaring big time so they've added some flagly to the mix of meds now to help me .

I've got my esa medical tommoz at 3:30pm to see if I'm still entitled to be on benefits , so at least if I attend this will help my case a bit showing how unpredictable things are for me .

I hope your all doing ok I'll update soon
Jen xx

wow sounds pretty bad for you. Glad your docs were straight on the case. I was bad with iron (no were near as bad as you tho) so know how bad you feel. Hoipe you get better soon and you get sorted with your benefits

I know what you are going through. It happened to me last year, I went to my GI, did some blood work and he called me the next morning to tell me I desperately needed a transfusion and that he was arranging a bed for me. Was there for a few days.

We're here for you.

Been there, done that, got the IV. If you haven't seen blood in your stool, ask to be monitored for a while to make sure that you don't have ongoing bleeding. Mine took three years to stop, total of about 60 units of blood eventually. Watch yours carefully, and take care of yourself.
