Hey... was curious if anyone else has these crohns symptoms. I get sudden sharp pains in my whole lower abdomen - usually after a stressful day at work but sometimes after calm ones. Nothing consistent about it. It feels like knives or glass in my whole lower abdomen. It's so intense it makes me tear up instantly and sitting or walking hurts the same. I've had a resection done in 2007 and I don't remember this ever happening before then.

After rest and tylenol it eventually goes away within a couple hours but takes all my energy with it.

It seems to be happening more and more often lately but even when I've had a clear ct scan it can still occur.

My doctor seems to have a hard time understanding how this could happen if im not having a flare up or obstruction. Hoping someone else here could share their experience?

When was your last colonoscopy? I have a surgical scar from a resection and a CT scan and MRE didn't show the scar but it does cause pain from time to time. My doctors believe there are also adhesions from the surgery on the outer portions where you really wouldn't see them unless you had another surgery. There's no test for adhesions unfortunately and the only treatment if needed is surgery. http://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-inf...diseases/abdominal-adhesions/Pages/facts.aspx

Have you tried a low residue and low fiber diet along with increasing your fluid intake so the contents passes through easier?

I had a resection five years ago and sometimes when I sneeze I can get pain there.
Ive tried going to emergency before but it takes 3+hours to see a dr and by then the pain has gone away
