side affects of 6mp

hey =) hope everyone is well

i started 6mp end of october and have had nausia for the last 2 weeks, not enjoying it much, drs have done blood tests and theyv come back saying iv got an infection some were but we dont know were, how long can the nausia last as a sideaffect and also could the sickness be apart iof the inferction were ever it is?

That nausea is the worst! You could try some ginger or peppermint tea to help with it. Also, since you have an infection, you could skip a day or two of the 6mp (I do when I have some bug or other). It builds up slowly in your system so it won't make a big difference. Do you take it with a little food?

I wouldn't mess with your 6mp dose too much. Missing a day here and there isn't a big deal but if you overdo it: bad news.

The nausea is more likely to be from your latent infection than the medication. Did they not prescribe antibiotics?
 
6MP can make you nauseas, I figure it triggers the body's 'OMG its poison' response - I threw up spectacularly on just 50mg.

As the others have said, try splitting the dose with food or take it at night so you can sleep through it maybe. Alternatively get some anti-emetics from your doc until you get used to it.

hey i only drink peppermint tea as i cant have milk, um i dont take it with any food most of the time, naughty i know but i have no appertite with the nausea xx

nope not as of yet, we dont know were iv got the inection, like search for a needle in a haystack and im allergic to penicillian =( so they need to know what there treating 1st
iv missed todays tablets and iv felt fine all day the odd bit here and there but not constent like the last 2 weeks has been xx
