Sinus infection after every infusion

So the first month after I get my remicade infusion EVERY time I get a horrid sinus infection, my nose gets raw and bloody and it's awful, after every infusion. It starts clearing up after about 4 weeks but then after another 4 weeks I get my infusion and it comes back. My GI wants me to avoid antibiotics due to risk of CDIFF, and suggested going to an ENT, (the third time it happened I ruptured both eardrums because there was so much pressure in my head) my family doctor told me last time I went in that he'd give me a referral if the antibiotic ointment he gave me to put on my nose didn't clear it up, but it did... until my next infusion. I know the simple answer here is go to an ENT, but I feel like by the time I got there it would be to the clearing up part anyways, and I feel like I spend to much of my free time at doctors appointments anyways.

Has anyone else dealt with anything like this though? It's not life threatening, or worse than active crohns, it's just irritating spending every other month feeling like the musinex man.

I get an infusion every 8 weeks as well. I get an antiallergen medicine just before I get the infusion. Maybe because of that I don't have any allergies during the infusion process itself.
Apart from that even I'm a Sinus magnet :/ and keep getting random allergies

I actually ad a nasty sinus infection after my last infusion....and also broke out in cold sores all around/in my nose.....things are pretty much healed up now, but we will see what happens after my next infusion, which is in 3 weeks.....I HOPE I don't end up with another one, especially since I will be on the road for work the following week!!!

I don't get any premeds, I've never had a problem with the infusions, I just end up with a sinus infection shortly after every one! They are awful every time! Nasal saline is my best friend. I use a ton of it and then put Vaseline in my nose to keep it from getting to dry that it bleeds even more. I've been trying to get my engagement pictures done for the past 3 months but every time my nose is all red and raw and gross so I cancel lol.
