small bowel mri?

hi all -- i'm totally new to this forum, and still in the midst of the diagnostic process. but i have to ask, has anyone experienced a small bowel mri with metamucil prep? i'm trying to get an idea as to what to expect tomorrow, when i'm scheduled to have my scan. thanks.

Not quite sure what that prep you were given was - I had to drink about 3/4 of a litre of something called Klean prep - to empty the bowels which acted as a lacative. The actual scan was fine - they strapped a board to my abdomen and gave me headphones before I went in the tunnel - expect lots of noise! I was also instructed to breath at certain times by an automated voice, but all in all not a painful or uncomfortable experience

oh interesting, thanks for the reply. i've discovered in my research that every mri of this sort seems to differ, haha, and haven't come across any two prep experiences that are alike. that's not a bad thing, necessarily, just a confusing one. anyways, thanks for the insight.
