Small bowel resection and symptoms back?

Hi everyone. I had my small bowel resection only 6 weeks ago. Built up to eating normally, no pain etc but this week i have started to have back pain and top of right thigh pain.It feels like inflammation pressing on nerves etc.Could it be that i have just overdone the eating and drinking over christmas and irritated the resection site? Please God the crohns has not come back after just 6 weeks? I am so scared that as you can see it is 2am and i am awake seeking your advice

The good news is that there are a couple million different potential causes for lower back and thigh pain, most of which aren't too serious. It's certainly understandable that you're worried right now, goodness knows I would be. Sending some virtual *hugs* your way

Thanks David, i did have relief after the op. Am wondering if i have just overdone it- lifting bags and carrying too much weight- muscle strain or eating and drinking too much as it was christmas and i went overboard because i could eat with no pain!!! I had a stricture so surely that will have gone during the resection? I will take it easy over the next few days and be careful what i eat and drink and if it does not improve i will make an appointment with my consultant.
