I am so d#$m mad at my insurance company. I had gone through a Sleep Apnea testing back in September and today I recieved a statement from the insurance company stating they will not pay because "This Type of Service Requires Verification of Medical Necessity."
I was given a perscription for this from my GP and it was also backed by my Cardialogist. I have severe sleep apnea and I quit breathing up to 17 times an hour and that doesn't include all the times I sit up or do strange things in my sleep. The breathing problem alone is life threatening and by using the Cpac at night very well could be saving me from another heart attack. I know that others in the company I work for have went through the study and that the insurance is covering it so why not me?
My wife will call them come Monday and get thing straightened out. It just gets so frustrating having to deal with them.
