I've had crohns for almost 2 years now and I've had fistulas just as long. I had a perianal abcess at the beginning of my crohn's journey. After they took care of that I had a citon for about a year and half. Anyways staying on topic apparently the crohns left my bottom with a lot of scarred tissue, the doctor said it's preventing my anus from closing fully. She said there's a procedure to widen my colon and anus by inserting a metal tube in there.:ywow: I have constipation I'm taking golytely for, so the doctor said that the scar tissue could be the cause. My question is has anyone heard of or experienced this procedure. If so could you tell me more about it? This is new to me.
