I'll never understand some people and they're thinking. Every single year my GI fills out a form for me so I can get the disability tax credit when I file my income tax. It really helps me, because I get money back for all the costs I have to take care of during the year. So why is this a rant you might ask?
Well, I sent my doctor this year to fill out the form, and I got a call from him stating that he no longer feels that crohns should be considered a disability, and therefore he will not fill out the form. WHAT!? OKay I'm not in a wheelchair or missing a limb or something, crohns is still a disability in a sense that we have to alter our lives in order to be able to do things.
Oh, and he had no problem signing a DISABILITY form for me 4 months ago for my school.
I'm really hoping my new GI will fill out the form for me. Doctors have no problem giving us expensive prescriptions, and telling us we need this and that, but when it comes time, they never seem to want to help.
