I've been doing good for a while. My husband and both of my kids are sick with terrible colds. Their appetites aren't good, so I have been making comfort foods. Yesterday I made Meatloaf Wellington. It's a family favorite. The ingredients seem pretty harmless: hamburger, spaghetti sauce, bread crumbs, mozarella cheese, parsley, and egg. Crescent roll dough is placed over the meatloaf part when it's cooked, and the bread is cooked until it's a light golden color.

I woke up at 4:00 and felt like throwing up. I didn't. I always try not to, as I hate it! I felt queasy all day and my intestines are burning. I'm not sure what happened?

I don't know what happened either! Sometimes certain combinations of foods (that are OK on their own) make me poorly. And green stuff is hit and miss anyway. But I hope you're feeling better soon. And manage to get some sleep (not sure what time it is there?)

Awww that sucks Andi, :(. I hope you feel better soon, you have to you're one of my sparring partners!

:getwell:

Thinking of you hun,

ugh.....hope you feel better soon....'hopefully' it is just the colds/sickness catching up with you and not something else.....

Hope you feel better soon, it could be a combo of all 3!
Colds and the food, and your Crohn's, but give the doc a ring if it worsens.

Im only guessing but for me its always the spaghetti sauce.Honestly sometimes just the smell of it cooking sets me off.Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for all the kind words. I may have caught the stomach flu, as it was going around at the school that I teach at. Oh yuck! One of the teachers, who is older than I am, was hit with it today. She always looks kind of frail anyway, so when I saw her in the nurses office, I asked if she was okay. The poor woman had no color what so ever. She got very dizzy and nauseated which made her get sick. She didn't want to go home because we are having Parent/Teacher Conferences this week. She chose to lay down in the nurse's office. I felt her pain as I felt yucky today also. I didn't throw up, but I'm one who will fight it as long as I can. I agree that it may have been a combination of the foods that I ate. I am feeling a little better, but I'm taking it easy as far as food. If I don't feel any better towards the ending of this week, I will see my doctor because it may be the CD rearing its ugly head.

I really hate it when people refuse to go home ill. One of the teachers at my school came in and said he'd been up all night throwing up, I asked him why the hell he came in 'we're doing tests today and I didn't want a supply to do it'. I just told him 'don't you dare give it to me, that's all I need!'

Whatever it is, hope you're feeling better soon!

I would have to agree with you. No telling how many people they have infected.

I hope you are feeling better now. Nothing worse to me than walking aroung feeling like you are going to hurl at the drop of a hat!
I cannot under any circumstances eat ground beef. I have no idea why as I can eat a steak with no difficulty. We are all so different! Life with CD would be so much easier if we all were text book cases, wouldn't it?
Oh, and the stomach virus is going around here like wild fire too!
Good luck & wishing you healthy,
Michele

Thanks Michele! I would have thought ground beef was safe because it's soft. I'll have to watch how I react to any dish with it. Nausea has got to be the worst feeling in the world. Ugh!
