sort of new to this forum

Hi,

a few years ago I started posting on this forum, and then kinda faded away. I read all of your posts often, looking for info. I am 51 years old and was diagnosed with Colitis when I was 12 years old. From there it progressed into colitis and fistulizing Crohn's. I have had one resection (a foot and a half), one surgery for fistulas, and many flares along the way.

At the moment I am waiting for my first round of Humira to arrive so I can get started with that. I have pretty much exhausted all the other meds out there, so I am praying this one will work.

I am looking forward to getting back into posting regularly.

Hi and welcome back! I sure hope Humira does the trick for you, too! And if you have been reading the boards, you can tell many have had great success with it. Please let us know how your first dose goes. Crossing my fingers for you!

Hello fellow Pennsylvanian!

Sorry to hear you are having troubles again. I hope the Humira does the trick for you. As Jill says above, there are lots here with great success with that drug. You can find a specific Humira thread in the Treatment section.

We look forward to having you back on the forum again!!

Hey Homeschool,
My mother just started Humira - she's had Crohn's for over 40 years. And so far, so good. She is noticing a big improvement after just 2 -3 weeks. I hope it works as well for you.

Welcome back!
