specific carbohydrate diet

hey all, just wanted to know how many people here have tried the specific carbohydrate diet and how long for? it didn't work very well for me the first time, i'm not feeling well at the moment and am thinking of giving it another go. Thanks

i tried. it lasted a month, tops.

my son (who is the one with Crohn's) has been on it since July 15/09, I went on it with him for support and to know that he was getting enough calories. We had tried it in April - but he couldn't stay on it then. This time has been no problem, although I think it helps when someone else does the cooking for you!!

He actually eats more now, before he would get halfway through a meal and feel bloated and full. Now he eats a full meal and 2 hours later wants another one.

So, give it another go - you might find it works better this time around.
