Spots with crohn`s?

I have been getting these weird looking spots for a month now, originally I thought they were spider bites, but no one else in my home were getting them. 2 weeks ago I woke up in the most horrendous pain, that pain lasted a week, but still isn`t completely gone. I went to a Doc this past weekend and he told me that it looks like crohn`s. I`m waiting to see a specialist for a diagnosis. I never knew what crohn`s was, so I went home and googled it. It all started to make sense, why I`ve been getting diarrhea so often for the past (well as long as I remember). The thing Im so confused about are these spots....... I have them mostly on my legs and arms and a few on my tummy. What are they? Why am I getting them? and what do they have to do with my intestinal system?
On another note, I would like to know...... Is it normal for feel fear about all this? Even though I haven't been diagnosed yet?

It sounds like erythema nodosum, maybe. I would look up this on here and the Internet and compare to your symptoms. It is an immunological response and often is associated with IBD. I had a couple incidences of it before I was officially diagnosed on my ankle and foot. I too had no clue what it was at the time.

As for being scared...yes, that is normal...it is a life changing disease, but it gets easier. Right before I was diagnosed and for a while after, I would cry every day the entire way home from work (45 minute drive). I started seeing a therapist and I have come to accept having Crohn's and a few other issues.
