Anyone on this SSI Qu Biologics Crohn's trial? I am in. Would love to connect with people on this - can you email me at [email protected] if you are in this? Would love to connect.

Thanks!

We have a few people who were or are part of the trial. See my signature for a link where the trial is being discussed. Best of luck, keep us posted!

SBPatel, can you share what your experience was/has been since the trial?

Hi Julia,
Based on what I have read they are doing a larger double blinded trial now. The results of the first two phases were very promising! I think the recent discovery about fungis fusing with an e coli pathogen and another bacterium can kinda explain why it works. It helps your body fight e coli, maybe that breaks this bridge and thats why people get better? Who knows but I look up stuff daily to see the status and so far, nothing is out there but I think we will hear some trial outcomes next year.

Thank you Scared1! It would be great to hear from study participants as well. The AMAT folk are very vocal and I was just wondering what the experience has been with SSIs since we do not have study results yet. I'm also looking around and wondering what is closest to hitting the marketplace from the new stuff being developed out there. What do you think?

Hi Julia,
I wish I knew - but I am thinking few years (4-5) based on a video I watched from the CEO of the company a while back. I wish some people who are taking this treatment or are in the trial can let us know how they are doing? Its always nice to hear - whether good or bad so that we can know whats in store...

Yea... the last bit of news on the QU website is from April.... :/

I know the Phase II for Crohns trial ended a while back and yet the website only lists vague "interim" results. Wish they would release full results from Phase II so that we can have a better understanding of whether SSIs are likely to go forward or not...

Is there really no one on this forum who can tell us a bit more about their experience with the drug? :(

Anyway, thanks Scared1 for the reply! :)

Hi Julia,
You know I find it super odd - no news at all. Nothing on their website, no stories, no updates. I mean, either it is doing well and they are waiting until they finish their clinical trial or they are NOT doing well. But so many promising interim results, it can't not be worthwhile and I am sure given the underlying basis that it seems super promising and perhaps part of the cure. If crohn's is infection based - killing the pathogen causing it, then using something like this to kick start your immune system might be an ideal combination therapy. I just wish there were more updates or people can comment about this.
