Doctor gave me medicine for spasms. Seems to have calmed my symptoms. I haven't noticed any black stools lately. Would this take care of bleeding also?

It's probably Levsin generic name Hyoscyamine. It is a smooth muscle relaxer. It works by decreasing the motion of the stomach and intestines and the secretion of stomach fluids, including acid. It wouldn't directly take care of bleeding but if say you had stomach ulcers that were aggravated by stomach acid the Hyoscyamine decreases the acid and could therefore help in healing in kind of an indirect way.
