Steroids/ Side effects

Hi guys! Been put on a short course of steroids after EVERYTHING going wrong on the elemental diet. http://ibdelemental.blogspot.com <-- It's all in there, i don't need to go into the gory details!

Anyone else out there on Prednisone at the moment?
Moonfaced
6 meals a day
Water retaining barrel around my midsection
Constantly peeing during the night
Mood swinging for the sake of it
and about five hours sleep

And thats on a good day

Just finished a 5 day mini course at 45 mg/day yesterday. I peed all night long & had a crazy appetite...add that to being pregnant on top of it and both side effects were def exaggerated! what I find most bothersome is I'm an emotional wreck! I've been crying a lot in the past 24 hrs since taking my last dose. I'll all of a sudden get very emo for no real reason...like my world is coming to an end. I'm hoping it subsides and is just a coming off the roids side effect

SarahC--yep, those all sound about right.

I'm not on prednisone at the moment, but when I was, I was a cleaning fanatic. I had so much energy I couldn't sit still, so I cleaned the heck out of my house.

Also, ice cubes were my best friend--I was always hot and a big o' sweaty betty.

Turns out I had a kidney infection! Currently on medication for that but I have a suspicion the steroids are partly to blame!

I'd like to blame the steroids for my mood swings but I'm not too sure people around me would! :L one moment I'm delighted with life, next I'm planning to migrate across continents!

2thFairy. What is with the cleaning? I was the same. Could not sit still without fidgeting and OBSESSED with cleaning the house. My Mum was actually quite pleased.
