I have been flaring for 11 months now :( I have rung my GP, IBD Nurse and my Gastro's secretary about it and they haven't really done much to be honest :(. I think my flare is getting worse because I feel sick alot of the time and I have actually vomitted twice, my appetite is slipping everytime I look, smell or even touch food it makes me feel really sick, I force myself to eat sometimes, I get pain whilst I am trying to eat and straight after I have eaten :( it is really painful, my BM's are all over the place at the moment, my temperature is also all over the place .

The thing is I am still working whilst all this is going on :( I am going to ring my IBD Nurse again and just let her know what is going on, i have tried to get my Gastro's secretary to move my appointment forward but so far not so good :ybatty: I am going to keep trying though .

Any advice as to what I could do??

Hey horse lover sorry I can't offer any advice as you have described my situation down to a tee, I am feeling no one is listening to me lately and like you I have really gone off food lately too. I am pretty much allergic to all pain meds so nothing helps. I have recently bought a tens machine to see if that helps but it seems to distract me for a few mins and not take away the pain. .

I hope you get some answers soon. Stay strong we will get through this

Thanks macdonald88 :) at least now I know that someone else is going through the same thing as I am, the pain is making me feel really sick even taking pain meds isn't making any difference :(, paracetamol doesn't touch the pain, co-codamol works but not for very long and I can't really take any other pain med. My work does sometimes take my mind off the pain as I work with horses so I really have no time to even think about how much pain I am in.

:) Thanks I hope you get some answers soon too :)

I know what u mean nothing seems to touch the pain, I feel like I am going round in circles with the docs and gastro docs it is really frustrating as they have no idea how much it affects your life.
I have been at my worst this week but forced myself into work as I had so much to do I'm off now till Tuesday so plan on taking it easy, please try and rest when you can.

Feel free to pm me if you want to talk.

Yeah I know what you mean I'm going round and round in circles with my doctor and my gastro doc and yeah it is really frustrating, they may know alot about Crohn's and think they know what we are going but actually they really have no idea.
The past two weeks have been my worst, like you I have had to force myself to work which is ok because I work with horses and I love it but with the pain as well it's not helping, I do try my best to take it easy and when I can get a rest I definately take the opportunity to do so :).
