Just wondering, if you get a stomach bug/virus, does it affect your Crohn's at all? Or does the bug last longer? Or is it just the same as if you didn't have IBD?

I just had the stomach bug (I think) I am also in a severe flare. But I only threw up twice.

I see no difference. When I get the bug it last pretty much the same as everybody else. Just seems that if somebody as it though I am more susceptible to getting it myself.

I got one a year ago. mine was less severe then my friends, but I also was more concerned by it so, was more into treating it. I did find it amusing that I went to GI rather then GP. because what's the point in having a fancy stomach doctor if you can't go when you have a stomach viris.

So I don't need to worry too much? It's just there's another one going round work (I work in a school), and with the aza I am kinda worried about catching it. The last time I was ill was before diagnosis, me and my boyfriend got traveller's diarrhoea. I was really ill, my symptoms were a lot worse than Mark's and lasted a lot longer. And I wonder if the CD had anything to do with it.

I'm doing really well bowel wise, and I don't want to jeopardise it by catching a bug!

I doubt it.
I originally though my stomach issues was traveler's diarrhea, but i have recently learned how many of out tour guides got sick after being around us then.
Now i wonder since I am on humira.
