I know this has probably been asked and assisted with elsewhere within the Forum but I am still new to the navigation.. does anyone else have problems with sulfur/rotten egg burps from different foods? If so, does anyone have any advice on how to rid oneself of them? I'd very much appreciate any assistance!

I don't have that, but sometimes I burp after taking a pill and literally burp up some of the powder from the pills...so weird.

I would assume you are just having an acid reflux issue. Do you take anything for that? I take prilosec daily to help neutralize my stomach acid. I was getting heartburn all the time.

Yeah I agree with Teeny, I too have been on and off pred and I think it caused my Hiatus hernia. So now I take nexium but I don't stay on them constantly , they are bone robbers.

Hey phoenix! I too have been a victim of the sulfur burps. They are horrible! I never could pinpoint them to a certain food but they always went away after two or three days. It's been a long time since I had them but I used to take papaya enzymes and that would make them go way quicker. Good luck!

I appreciate all the responses, I hate these sulfur burps and I wish no one had to deal with them. To elaborate, I do have heart burn on occasion though I have noticed both heart burn and sulfur burps seem to coincide now. I do have aa hiatal hernia as well but I had it pre-Crohn's diagnosis. I researched sulfur burps and read that its caused by the absence of certain digestive microbes causing hydrogen sulfide to be released or something like that. So I am going to get some papaya extract but also experiment with some different yogurts with live cultures to restore the ones I lost? You know how it is. Just try something and see if it works.

I use digestive enzymes but not the papaya ones, but mostly check for digestion for what you do eat like protein, fats and carbs and some dairy. I have an exercise if my HH gets out of hand. I also try and eat smaller meals more throughout the day. I also have my gall bladder out... come to think of it I have more out than in  Kidding.

I have started a one per day coffee and am gonna attempt some digestive enzymes, smaller meals and a new diet. Oh and papaya! Thanks all!
