swollen ankles

OK so I have a question.

I recently came off my meds. I was on a minimum dose of mesalazine. I now take b12 a multivitamin cod liver oil and a shot of aloe vera juice. I have been succesful so far and have only had one flare up in 60 days ( I also had popcorn when i knew that i shouldnt have so that may be why)

I recently took up Irish dancing after 8 years. A friend of mine is also taking up irish dancing after 8 years and we have both been practicing hard for a wedding coming up. However both my inner ankles are swollen and did I not twist or fall funny. Her feet hurt but are not swollen. Could this be related to Crohns. Mesalzine is an anti inflammortry could it be related to coming off my meds. Do Crohnies swell up when they exercise. Or is it completely unrelated help.

as you have been doing irish dancing i would say this is a big part to blame irish dancing is very hard and tougth on the ancles i think most people would have saw feet after this... crohns is autoimmune though so can effect many areas of the body although it is very rare to effect the feet i imagine a couple of days rest to let the muscles repair and you will be much better..

Lots of things can make your ankles swell. Have you checked your blood pressure? Salt makes it worse, and adding a little potassium might help - I use "light" salt - it has potassium in it.
