Hey just wondering if anyone experiences problems with swollen glands. Mine are constantly sore in my neck and behind the back of my ears, this has been happening for about 3 years and I sometimes get periods where I wake up in complete agony with it. I currently have an ear infection and have been to my doctor who said they were swollen. I am on remicade and have been for a few years now but no one seems to really care about this symptom.

I'm getting to the point now where it's really getting to me as my crohns can be fine but yet I get these spouts where my glands are agony. I'm not sure if it's related but just thought I would see if anyone has had similar issues.

Thanks

I used to get multiple ear infections and swollen glands behind the ears, in my neck and once across my forehead. Was long before I was finally diagnosed. I'm not sure if there is any connection but I wouldn't be surprised. One of my sons has been showing crohns symptoms since he was about four. That's when it stared for me also. He too has swollen glands that become very painful. Ive had quite a struggle with doctors for years regarding all his symptoms and pain. He never ever complains but I know what he is going through. I'll check in again once I look into it further. I'm so glad I checked in here to tonight. I'm still shocked by how little doctors know about all the additional things we go through.

I'm sorry to hear you and your sons have experienced the same issues, it drives me mad when you constantly get robbed of by the doctor, your the one who has to live with it day in day out. I had my tonsils out last January as I kept getting re occuring throat infections. I may see if I can get referred to ENT again. I have my GI nurse next week I'm going to mention it again!

The last visit to the hospital I had the ER doc said that I had inflammation in my lymph nodes from the Crohns. I didn't know that was possible, but he assured me it was.
