swollen lymph nodes

Does anyone who is on ANY biologic know if swollen lymph nodes (tender) are a cause for concern ???
In the neck by the way.

I'm gonna be concerned of course...I just need some opinions...advice please ??

My daughter has only been on Cimzia for 9 days now; but the swollen glands were not an issue before this.

Thanks :)

I had a tender lympnode about 2 months ago. I showed it to the doctor. She felt some of my organs like my liver and spleen. I also get bloodwork done every month, which was ok. I dont have nightsweats or fever. She said it was fine but if it gets worse or doesnt go away to go back to her. It did go away, and then recently it came back again. I dont like it but it doesnt seem to mean anything.

That being said you may want to mention it to the doctor so they can keep an eye on it. So far in my case its nothing.

thank you Lydia,

I will definitely call her doctor tomorrow because she has been very fatigued again the last couple of days as well.
I am curious tho if this is a common occurrence with those on biologics.

I made a post a couple months back, and quite a few crohnies have had this problem....and in the ones that did respond, it didnt turn out to be anything scary. Your lympnodes are a huge part of your immune system, and biologic therapies add a forgien body to your blood so it makes sense that strange things like this can happen. Also when flaring your immune system is also going crazy.

Before I was diagnosed I had two swollen lymph nodes on my neck, so I think it could be caused by crohns. They went away and I haven't noticed anymore, and when I saw my doc about them he didn't think it was cause for concern.
