Yeah, basically, that's what my follow up boiled down to yesterday. Take Immodium.

Oh, and some nitroglycerin cream for the fissure that I snapped a pic of since he said there was no fissures or anything when we did the scope even though I knew it was there then too.

But basically, take Immodium. No explanation for the abnormal scope a year ago. Nor for the LRQ pain. Nor for the blood and mucus.

So IDK... :( I'm frustrated.

OMG... that is ridiculous, how frustrating!! Time for another doctor... Hope you can get some proper care and feel better soon! I went with the same doc for years telling me it was just IBS and it was in my head, and to relax... until I went to the ER one day, and got the proper tests done to have them tell me it was Crohn's.

Hey Decem, run like hell to a new doc. My FORMER Doc told me 3 years ago when I complained of side pain while going to the bathroom. He said just take immodium and don't worry. If I had switched my doc back then maybe I wouldnt have had to go through hell. Good luck, hope you are feeling better soon.

That advice from the GI is both sick and laughable. You know you need another GI. Sadly finding the right doctor can take a long time.

Ugh - sorry girlie.
So you aren't on any other typical Crohn's meds?
I did just read another member's story that said he was on immodium for quite a while, and I think he seemed to say it worked well, then he was put on asacol. (Can't remember who - new member Dannyboy maybe?)

I hate to say this but maybe you should try it just while you find a new doc? I'd hate for you to have nothing until you can get an appointment. At least if it holds you over a teeny bit... though it seems like it woul djust give you a bellyache. That's what benefiber wafers did to me.

Hiya

I'm with everyone else, and like Sharon I was told I was mental with IBS for 15 years!
God, really hope you sack him off, and get to see another gastro who will listen to what you've got to say, rather than keep fobbing you off, again!
Start the Imodium tho, just until you get to see someone else, you might get a bit of relief
hope you are ok, hun
xxx
