Hello everyone,

Thought I would post this as people maybe interested. Tomorrow I am taking part in a study to try and find a reason why people with IBD have adverse reactions to azathioprine. I was told the name of the trial but at the moment can't remember, when I go tomorrow I am going to find out as much as possible and I can always post some more information.
My understanding is that the dr is going to ask me a load of questions about my disease and being on azathioprine in the past and then I will have a blood test. The lab will then send this test away and they will look into the genetics to see if it is a gene that causes people to react.
I will update more tomorrow but I am really interested and will probably drive the Dr mad and ask loads of questions.

Yeah I think it is I replied to your post about it. It's titled PRED4 which is shortened for something but I can't remember what I have got all the information sheets around somewhere. X

Mines under the name UDRUGS which stands for Understanding adverse drug reactions or responses using genomic sequencing.
